Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By using the services of NYC Legal & Notary Services Co., Ltd. (NYC Legal) you confirm that you have read, understood and agreed to these terms. If you do not agree, please refrain from using our services.

2. Scope of Services

• Legal, government and business translation in 50+ languages
• Certification by Notarial Services Attorneys under the Lawyers Council of Thailand
• Legalization by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) and embassies (apostille / legalization)
• Visa filing and immigration document services
• Document pick-up/delivery and legal advisory

3. Quotations & Payment

• Quotations are valid for 7 days from issue
• Clients pay a 50% deposit before work begins and the balance before collection
• Quoted prices exclude government fees, embassy fees and EMS/Grab delivery
• Payment via bank transfer, PromptPay, credit card (3% surcharge) or cash at our office
• Full tax invoices and receipts are issued for every transaction

4. Turnaround Times

Standard turnaround is 2–5 business days, express 1–2 days, and same-day for common documents. MFA and embassy timelines depend on the relevant authority and are outside our control.

5. Translation Accuracy

We guarantee professional accuracy and will correct translator errors free of charge. Clients are responsible for verifying names, addresses and dates before official use; the company is not liable for damages arising from incorrect client-supplied data.

6. Limitation of Liability

• Our maximum liability is limited to the amount paid for the specific job
• We are not liable for indirect damages, lost profits or business opportunity
• Force majeure events (disasters, embassy closure, protests) are outside our liability
• Visa refusal by an embassy is not our fault unless it arises from an error in our documents

7. Intellectual Property

Site content, logos and sample documents are the property of NYC Legal. Translations delivered to a client become the client's property upon full payment. We retain rights in our proprietary templates and methodology.

8. Confidentiality

All staff are bound by NDA and will not disclose client information to third parties without consent or a court order. See our Privacy Policy for details.

9. Cancellation

• Cancel before work starts — 100% deposit refund less THB 200 transfer fee
• Cancel after work has started — billed for the proportion completed
• After delivery — no refund
• We reserve the right to refuse work that is unlawful or contrary to public morals

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Thailand. Any dispute falls under the jurisdiction of the Khon Kaen Kwaeng Court or the Bangkok South Civil Court. The parties agree to attempt mediation before litigation.
