The Passport carries a structure most overseas registrars recognise instantly — and just as instantly reject when the translator has improvised on a single term. The terminology is the document. Translator certification blocks drafted by non-specialists frequently omit the licence number or the firm juristic ID — both are mandatory data points the Estonian embassy in Bangkok will check before stamping.

Translation of the data page is rarely required (it is already bilingual), but a notarized certified copy is frequently requested.

Most Estonian registrars file the translated Passport as part of a small packet; the items below are the ones their checklists most often include alongside it.

For German, French, Spanish, Italian and Dutch use, the receiving authority will check the sworn translator's registration number against the local court list; we either use a registered translator or arrange a follow-on sworn re-certification in the destination country.

For the Passport specifically, our Estonian desk pays particular attention to:

• Dates & calendars. The Thai Buddhist year (พ.ศ.) must be converted to the Common Era; we provide both formats side-by-side.
• Form codes. Original Thai reference numbers and registration codes are preserved verbatim.
