Our internal QA describes the Passport as a "high-density, low-tolerance" file: a handful of lines, dozens of facts, zero room for the translator to be creative. On a Passport the difference between "issued by" and "registered at" is not stylistic; Danish authorities read the verb as a legal claim and any drift between the two is a hard rejection.

Translation of the data page is rarely required (it is already bilingual), but a notarized certified copy is frequently requested.

EU/EEA countries vary by sworn-translator regime: Germany, France, Spain, Italy, Portugal and the Netherlands each require translations executed by an officially sworn translator either locally or through MFA legalisation in Bangkok.

For the Passport specifically, our Danish desk pays particular attention to:

• Dates & calendars. The Thai Buddhist year (พ.ศ.) must be converted to the Common Era; we provide both formats side-by-side.
• Official seals & stamps. Thai stamps and signatures are described in the target language so overseas officers can verify authenticity.
• Officer titles. Registrar, Chief District Officer and District Officer are kept distinct, mapped to whichever term the destination registry uses internally.
• Name transliteration. Danish authorities check the translated name against your passport — any mismatch is grounds for rejection.
