The Passport is rarely a simple, free-form letter. It contains official Thai terminology — registry numbers, district codes, parental information, registration officers' titles — that translate differently depending on the receiving country. Where the original หนังสือเดินทาง reuses a registrar title in different tenses, the Greek version must preserve the tense distinction — confusing "registered" with "is registering" changes the document's legal effect.

Translation of the data page is rarely required (it is already bilingual), but a notarized certified copy is frequently requested.
